Once over the river turn LEFT (West) onto A1046 [Port Clarence Road] Head towards haverton hill At the traffic lights go straight on going under the low bridge still on the A1046 [Haverton Hill Road] Straight on at small round about and straight on at the next lights. At the next roundabout take slip filter road, left onto A1032 [old newport bridge road.]

At roundabout, take the third exit onto A66 to Stockton Stay on the slip road and take the exit for the A19 North

Bridge crossing # 3 A19 FLYOVER RIVER CROSSING (NORTH).

Keeping in the filter lane take the exit back down to newport roundabout. keep to the right lane at the lights to go back around the roundabout taking the third exit onto the A19 South.

From the A19 south road Merge onto A66 west for Stockton. Second A66 slip road. On the A66, take next exit to Teeside retail park. Keep right on exit road. At traffic lights turn right over the A66 bridge onto the Viaduct Road at the roundabout take the second exit onto Whitewater Way across the river

Once over the river, at turn off for the Pub called the talpole pub turn around and come back across the river to the roundabout..

Bridge crossing # 4a WHITEWATER RIVER CROSSING ( the other way )

At the roundabout take third exit onto PRINCETON DRIVE at the next roundabout go straight on, At the next roundabout take the third exit onto HARVARD AVENUE. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto UNIVERSITY BOOULEVARD At the next roundabout; take the second exit onto TEESDALE BOULEVARD and across the bridge

Bridge crossing # 5 TEESDALE BOULEVARD RIVER CROSSING ( Princess Diana Bridge ) At the traffic lights take the left turn onto A1305 along Riverside Drive. At the next roundabout take first exit onto the A1130 onto Bridge Road Around the corner is the slip road of for the bridge.

Once over the bridge follow the road which becomes Mandale road. Keep in the right lane upto roundabout At next roundabout take right filter lane onto A1130 George street Filter lane just before roundabout At the end of road bear left heading for A1045 to Thornaby, at next roundabout take first turn off keeping on the A1045 Road goes over the top of the A66 At next roundabout, take the SECOND exit onto A66 to Darlington

Once over the river take the next slip onto Bowsfield lane bearing left at the lights and along bowsfield lane Slip road not long after the river At next roundabout take second exit straight on, staying on Bowsfield lane At next roundabout, take the second exit straight on, onto Queen Elizabeth Way. Follow to next roundabout

At next roundabout, go straight round and back along Queen elizabeth way following the road back to the other end

At next roundabout, take the first exit onto Concorde way At next roundabout go straight on keeping on the Concorde way..5 along to the end of the road At next roundabout take first exit onto the A135 Yarm Road Follow the A135. all the way down to Yarm, at the traffic light just before yarm bridge the road changes to the A67 It’s a long road just keep going.

Once over the bridge follow the A67 road along yarm high street and stay on the A67 along to the next roundabout. Road name changes to the spital and then Thirsk road At the next roundabout take the third turn off onto the B1264 Green lane. Turn right. Nice long run along this part of the route. Follow this road along through Low Worsall and staying on the B1264 till the turn right at a left hand bend in the road, for Girsby and Low Dinsdale ( just before the hornby turn off ) Turn off on the right, narrow back road this one. Take it steady. May be mud on the road. Farmers !. Follow this road through Girsby and all the way to Low Dinsdale

Once over the bridge follow this road through to NEESHAM and along through to HURWORTH and on to CROFT. At the end turn left onto the A167 to croft bridge. Another long back road.

Once over the bridge turn right at pub to turn around and come back over the bridge

Once back over the bridge keep left staying on the A167 heading towards Darlington Follow to the end, nice short twisty road. At next roundabout, take the first exit left onto A66 This is called bridge road.

At the next roundabout take first exit left heading for STAPLETON. Just before Stapleton turn right onto the road heading for CLEASBY and then MANFIELD Another back road but nice. Just after MANFIELD at T junction turm right onto B6275 to PIERCEBRIDGE The bridge is just before the village near the George hotel

Once through village turn left onto the A67 heading to GAINFORD. Carry on through on the A67 to WINSTON In village at T junction take left road to join the A67 road At WINSTON turn left off the A67 into the village,turn left onto the B6274 road to caldwell. Bridge just outside of the village

Once over the river, take the turn off to the right heading for OVINGTON Turn off just after a sharpe right hand bend. More small back roads After OVINGTON take right turn and follow the road to WYCLIFFE carry on through the village After WYCLIFFE take a right turn to WHORLTON Narrow wooden bridge this one can be slippy if wet!

Once over bridge and through the village, take a left turn heading for BARNARD CASTLE Left turn just before you leave the village. Nice long bit of road. Just after Mount eff road on the right and before newgate take a left turn down to the abbey and over the bridge Twisty down hill road traffic lights on bridge.

Once over the bridge take a sharp right turn onto abbey lane,go along past the Abbey and at the end of the lane turn right onto the B 2677 heading for BARNARD CASTLE Very narrow twisty back road this one.

At the lights turn right onto the A67 and over the bridge and carry on up the hill and along the high street.continue through the town as if heading to DARLINGTON A long high street this one. At the end of the town take a left turn at the roundabout onto the B6278 heading for EGGLESTON Long (ish) run on this road At the bottom of folly bank just after the petrol garage follow the road round to the left and at the next right bend take the left turn straight on,onto the B6281 ( croft york lane.)

Once over the river at the end of the lane, at the T junction turn right onto the B6277 heading for MIDDLETON-IN-TEESDALE Bridge just before the village.

Once over the bridge and up into the village, at the T junction turn right onto the B6282 heading back to the final stop of the trip turn left at the junction on the bend at Eggleston and up to bank top to the pub the MOORCOCK INN. EGGLESTON.
